I was touched by the words shared with us by National Youth Poet Laurete, Amanda Gorman in her poem, The Hill We Climb. Sharing in many of her hopes, I set out to create a personal piece of art for my own collection, using images of her combined with her spoken words.

It was my intent to illustrate that her words physically shaped her, and that by gathering near the image and immersing oneself in the piece, following the twisting, turning of phrases, those same words might shape us, as well. Let the words fill you and define you, even perhaps change you, or your path.
